Services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098 with a visitation from 10 AM to 12 PM followed by the service at 12 PM. Interment will be at the First Baptist Church of Pedricktown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in memory of Caroline Jenkins to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.

Caroline Sabina Jenkins, 72, of Pedricktown passed away on February 22, 2017. Born in Bridgeton to the late Lewis and Lucy (nee Bertolini) Ayars, Carol went to Bridgeton High School and received her LPN nursing certification from Salem Community College. Carol was the matriarch of her family and she is remembered as the one that held everything together and in order. Her entire life was focused on her family and her passion for her nursing career, she spent several of those years working at Gloucester Manor. In her free time, she loved to do oil paintings and she was certified by Bob Ross.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Ronald Jenkins of Pedricktown; her son Frank Montana (Tracie) of Carneys Point; her daughters Tina Rainear (Brian) of Woodstown, Connie Mitten (Rod) of Logan Township, Lucille Shortencarrier (Jeff) of Carneys Point and Tennille Crawford (Chris) of Quinton; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; her brothers Mike Ayars of Millville and Lew Ayars (Colleen) of Carneys Point; her sisters Alice Middleman (Francis) and Iva Pacheco (Julio); her stepmother Nancy Ayars; her best friend Ron Silva; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Harry Ayars; her sister Lucille Morgan; her stepfather John Burpulis; and her sister-in-law and good friend Carol Ayars.
