PV Police arrest Salem men involved in drive by shooting

Two Salem men involved in a drive-by shooting in Salem were arrested on Weapons Offenses in Pennsville Twp. after brief pursuit with police on Hook Road.

On 4/30/17 at approximately 1:53 pm Juanamere L. Negron (M/18) of Salem and Stanley J. Streeter (M/27) also of Salem were arrested and charged with Weapons Offenses.

In the area of South Hook Road an officer observed a vehicle traveling North on Hook Road at a high rate of speed. The officer was able to get the vehicle to stop after a brief pursuit. While speaking with the occupants it was learned that the suspect vehicle was involved in a ride by shooting in Salem. The officer observed numerous spent shells in plain view. During the investigation two handguns were retrieved from the vehicle as well as CDS (Marijuana).

Streeter was charged with Unlawful Possession of Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Possession of CDS (Marijuana) and Eluding. Negron was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose and Possession of CDS (Marijuana). Both suspects were remanded to the Salem County Correctional Facility.
