Chief Edmund Spinelli Memorial Scholarship announced for high school students

Carneys Point Police Officer’s Association announces scholarship in honor of late Chief Edmund Spinelli to Penns Grove – Carneys Point students looking to further education

This year, the Carney’s Police Officer’s Association is happy to present a scholarship opportunity to one high school student.

The Chief Edmund Spinelli Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 award that will be presented to a student that meets certain criteria.

In order to qualify for the scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • The candidate must reside within the boundaries of the Penns Grove – Carneys Point Regional School District
  • The candidate must be a Senior
  • The candidate must maintain a 3.0 GPA average or above
  • The candidate must have plans on furthering education (i.e. College, Trade school, Military)
  • The candidate must have a clean discipline record
  • The candidate must have clean criminal record
  • The candidate must express interest in community relations (i.e. volunteer work, clubs, sports)

All applicants must submit the following application as well as a 1-2 page essay expressing their future goals and why they should receive this prestigious award

The application can be downloaded by the above attached file after clicking then right clicking to download image. Also, a hard copy of the application is also available in the Guidance Office at Penns Grove High School.

Applications can be submitted to Mr. Muhammad in the Guidance Office at Penns Grove High School or at the Carneys Point Police Headquarters located at 303 Harding Hwy. Carneys Point, NJ 08069

The deadline for submitting an application is Monday, May 15th, 2017
