Carneys Point Twp. Police: Beginning two weeks of January crime log includes man arrested for outstanding warrant while walking down Virginia Ave. in possession of heroin & other drugs/paraphernalia, numerous other outstanding warrant arrests, shoplifting, I-Phone theft, resisting arrest, among much more.

January 15th at 6:21 PM

Officers were dispatched to the Sunoco Gas Station on Hawks Bridge Road for a theft. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a subject left his/her iPhone 7, valued at $749, in the bathroom. When the victim realized he/she left the phone and returned to the bathroom, the phone was gone. Further information revealed that the phone was last tracked in Baltimore, Maryland. The iPhone was entered into the National Crime System as stolen.

January 14th at 12:48 AM

Police officers were dispatched to North Virginia Avenue for a well-being check on two subjects walking down the roadway. Upon arrival, Lonce Silva, 42 years of age from Carneys Point, was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest out of the Salem County Sheriff’s Office and the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office. Search incident to arrest yielded Silva was in possession of heroin, three different prescription legend drugs, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Silva was transported to headquarters and charged on a summons with 4 counts of possession of CDS, 4 counts of distributing CDS, distributing marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Silva was processed, released on the new charges and lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility on the two warrants.

January 13th at 7:58 AM

Carneys Point Police officers were dispatched to the Pilot Truck Stop for a shoplifting complaint. After arriving officers discovered that the shoplifter had left the area. Officers were able to identify the shoplifter as Carrie Jones, 22 years of age from Mount Laurel, NJ. Nonetheless, officers charged Jones on a summons with shoplifting and mailed such to Jones. However, the mater is still pending court.

January 13th at 7:28 PM

During a motor vehicle stop, Laqoya Brokenbaugh, 27 years of age from Penns Grove, was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Brokenbaugh was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a new court date.

January 13th at 3:20 PM

During a motor vehicle stop, Harold Munyan 3rd, 35 years of age from Carneys Point, was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court and the Hamilton Municipal Court. Munyan was transported to headquarters, processed and released with new court dates after posting partial bail.

January 13th at 7:58 AM

On January 13, 2017 at 11:23 AM, officers were dispatched to a residence on Harding Highway for a criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown subject(s) attempted to enter the victim’s garage. The victim fixed the damage prior to officers’ arrival and showed the officers pictures of the damage. The victim wished to only make a matter of record at this time and requested extra patrols in the area.

January 13th at 7:58 AM

During a motor vehicle stop, Michael Harris, 26 years of age from Penns Grove, was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Harris was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting partial bail.

January 12th at 3:20 PM

While conducting a motor vehicle stop, Nicolas Luzzo, 25 years of age from Carneys Point, attempted to flee the scene on foot. Not long after, Luzzo was apprehended by officers. While taking Luzzo into custody, one of the officers sustained an injury to his hand. Luzzo was transported to headquarters, charged on a warrant with obstructing the administration of law, resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, processed and lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility with no bail.

January 12th at 8:47 AM

During a motor vehicle stop, Latika Roane, 26 years of age from Penns Grove, was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Roane was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a new court date.

January 10th at 8:38 PM

Officers were dispatched to the Budget Inn for a suspicious incident. Upon arrival, James Derrick Jr, 37 years of age from Carneys Point, was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest out of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and the Pennsville Municipal Court. Derrick was transported to headquarters, processed and lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility.

January 9, 2017 at 9:23 PM

During a motor vehicle stop, Dominique Michael, 23 years of age from Carneys Point, was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Additionally, Caron Moten, 28 years of age from Penns Grove, was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court and the Carneys Point Municipal Court. Both Michael and Moten were transported to headquarters and processed. Michael was released with a new court date. Moten was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility.

January 6th at 4:59 PM

Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on North Virginia Avenue in the area of Game Alley. No injuries were reported at the scene

January 6th at 2:41 PM

While conducting a motor vehicle stop, Brandon Groce (32 years of age from Newtonville, NJ) was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of the Upper Deerfield Municipal Court. Also, Brandi Feliciano (33 years of age from Wilmington, DE) was found to have outstanding warrants from the Carneys Point Municipal Court, the Penns Grove Municipal Court, and the Deptford Municipal Court for her arrest.

Furthermore, a search during the arrest yielded the two were in possession of a large quantity of prescription legend drugs. After being transported to headquarters, Groce was charged on a warrant, and Feliciano was charged on a summons which included the following: Distribution of a scheduled drug; two (2) counts of possession of CDS; conspiracy to distribute CDS; distribution of between 5 – 100 doses of prescription legend drugs; and possession of prescription legend drugs.

Both Groce and Feliciano were then processed by authorities. Groce was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility for the Upper Deerfield warrant and was lodged on a no bail warrant for the new charges. Brandi Feliciano was released with new court dates on the warrants (posting partial bail on one warrant) and is pending court on the new charges.

January 6th at 12:33 PM

CP Twp. Police officers were dispatched to a residence on Chester Avenue for a criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown subject(s) removed the electric meter from the victim’s house. He/she stated they might know who stole the electric meter but nothing could be proven at the time. Officers informed the victim of his/her options in dealing with the incident and extra police would be patrolling the area.

January 5th at 10:02 AM

Police were dispatched to Lanning Avenue for a subject lying in the roadway. John Santiago Jr, 26 years of age from Penns Grove, was arrested for possession of marijuana under fifty grams, use or being under the influence of CDS, and obstructing roadways. Ultimately, Santiago was transported to headquarters, charged on a summons, processed and released pending court.

January 5th at 1:28 AM

A motor vehicle stop revealed Caitlin Ireland (22 years of age from Greenwich) was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Ireland was transported to headquarters, processed and lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility.

January 3rd at 8:06 PM

Officers were dispatched to the Pilot Truck Stop for a hit and run motor vehicle accident. Officers discovered that a tractor trailer backed into a parked tractor trailer while the driver was asleep in the cab. A witness stated that he/she observed a red truck (which had a red tarp) hit the parked trailer then flee the area. Officers continued to search the surrounding area, but the search yielded negative results.

January 2nd at 4:20 PM

During a traffic stop, Juan Garduno-Reza Jr, 22 years of age from Penns Grove, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Garduno-Reza was transported to headquarters, processed and lodged in the Salem County Correctional facility.

January 2nd at 4:18 PM

Bryant Lewis, aged 28-yrs of Carneys Point, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Lewis was processed and released with a new court date.
