Burglaries, thefts continue as commonplace w/in PV Crime Log: 1/03 – 1/15

Burglaries, thefts, forced entry, and more fill 2017’s first Pennsville crime log.

Pennsville Crime Log for January 3rd through January 15th: Reports of stealing, robbing, forced entry, etc. ever so similar to past few years’.

Pennsville Police Dept.’s activity log below:

On 1/15/2017 at approximately 9:58 am officers responded to a residence on Oak Street for a Burglary and Theft. Upon arrival, it was ascertained that the resident had not been home and an unknown accused entered the residence and removed numerous firearms, currency and other miscellaneous items. Pending further investigation.

On 1/14/2017 at approximately 11:22 am Samantha N. Gaffney (F/31) of Salem was arrested and charged with being a Fugitive out of Pennsylvania. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on North Broadway at which time revealed Gaffney had a suspended drivers license. Further investigation revealed Gaffney was wanted out of Tinicum Township in Pennsylvania. Gaffney was issued a traffic summons and remanded to the Salem County Correctional Facility awaiting extradition to the State of Pennsylvania.

On 1/13/2017 at approximately 11:05 am Officers responded to a residence on South Broadway that someone had made entry into and removed the copper piping from the basement. Upon arrival, it was determined that a basement window was broken out and the accused entered the basement and removed the copper piping. Pending further investigation.

On 1/12/2017 at approximately 9:10 am Anthony J. Rosario (M/44) of Pennsgrove was arrested and charged with Shoplifting from Walmart. Police were dispatched to the Walmart for a male subject concealing merchandise. The accused then fled the store and left in a Silver Honda. Officers located the vehicle on South Hook Road and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Several car stereo’s were observed in the backseat of the vehicle. Rosario admitted to the officers that he had taken the items from Walmart. Further investigation revealed that Rosario was a Fugitive out of Galveston, Texas. The items taken were valued at $235.00 and Rosario was processed and remanded to the Salem County Correctional Facility awaiting extradition back to Texas.

On 1/11/2017 at approximately 2:50 pm Michayla C. Bottcher (F/18) of Pennsville was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS (Marijuana). Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on North Broadway after it was learned that the registration was suspended. Further investigation revealed that Bottcher was in possession of suspected marijuana. Bottcher was processed and released pending court.

On 1/10/2017 at approximately 10:15 pm a 16 year old juvenile from Pennsville was arrested and charged with Shoplifting from the Acme. The juvenile was observed concealing several meat products then fled the store. Officers later located the juvenile in Pennsgrove and placed him under arrest. The juvenile was processed and released to a guardian pending juvenile court.
On 1/10/2017 at approximately 12:11 am Ivory T. Royal (F/33) of Millville was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS (Marijuana) following a motor vehicle stop on South Broadway. Royal was stopped for a violation and later found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Royal was processed and released pending court.

On 1/7/2017 officers responded to the Laura’s Glen Apartments for a Criminal Mischief Complaint. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a resident of the complex had parked his vehicle in the parking lot and when he returned to his vehicle the tire was slashed. The value of the tire is approximately $100.00. Pending further investigation.

January 5, 2017 at approximately 11:00 am Justin A. DiGregorio (M/27) of Pennsville and Tricia D. Beatty (F/30) also of Pennsville, were arrested and charged with Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief. Police responded to a residence on Tulip Road on December 18, 2016 for a complaint of a Burglary and Theft. Officers discovered that forced entry was utilized to enter the residence. Once inside numerous pieces of jewelry as well as U.S. Currency was taken. Some of the items were pawned and others were destroyed. Both subjects were processed and remanded to the Salem County Correctional Facility. DiGregorio’s bail was set at $100,000.00 and Beatty’s bail was set at $25,000.00. Pending Court.

On 1/4/2017 at approximately 6:54 pm Steven Buoncuore (M/61) of Pennsville was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence. Officers were dispatched to Highland and First Street for a motor vehicle crash and upon arrival it was ascertained that Buoncuore was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Buoncuore was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. Buoncuore was later released pending court.

On 1/3/2017 officers responded to the Acme for a Theft complaint. Upon arrival it was ascertained that two subjects entered the store and removed approximately $300.00 worth of miscellaneous items then fled the store. Officers reviewed store surveillance and identified the subjects as Brian Ecret (M/39) of Pennsville and Ezequiel Rivera (M/37) also from Pennsville. On 1/6/2017 Rivera was located and arrested at which time he was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Theft and remanded to the Salem County Correctional Facility with no bail. On 1/7/2017 Ecret was located and arrested at which time he was charged with Theft and also committed to the Salem County Correctional Facility without bail. Pending court.
