Wilmington, Del. — Jenna Lucente, Assistant Professor of Visual and Performing Arts at Salem Community College, and Hugh Atkins are featured in a two-person exhibit during October in the Hatch Gallery at the Delaware Contemporary, 200 South Madison St., Wilmington.

The show, titled “making sense of it all,” profiles the artists’ ongoing investigations with understanding the world around us. Lucente and Atkins are resident studio artists at the Delaware Contemporary, formerly known as the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts. (Check out the Delaware Contemporary’s Facebook Page)

While Lucente portrays bleak stark landscapes that try to reconcile the man-made environment with nature, Atkins lets the viewer follow a series of images, visual clues, arrows, strings and puzzle pieces to invite each person to make their own sense in the world.

The exhibit opens Friday October 7th at 5 p.m. and runs through October 30th.
