Oakwood Summer Theatre opened its 37th season yesterday evening with Reginald Rose’s “12 Angry Jurors.”
Performances continue tonight (June 24th) and tomorrow (June 25th) in the Davidow Theater at the Salem Community College at 460 Hollywood Avenue in Carneys Point, New Jersey by Oakwood Summer Theatre.
All performances begin at 7:30 p.m.
A 16-year-old boy has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. It looks like an open-and-shut case until one of the jurors begins opening the others’ eyes to the facts. Matters become personal with each juror revealing his or her own nature as the various testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted and a new murder threat is born before their eyes! Tempers get short, arguments grow heated, and how the jurors reach the final verdict keep you on the edge of your seat!
Tickets are $10 each and can buy purchased at the door or by calling 856-935-2562.
Coming in July from Oakwood will be “Honk Jr,” and in August, “Monty Python’s Spamalot.”
Group rates are also available. For more information on Oakwood Summer Theatre, visit the organization’s website at www.oakwoodsummertheatre.com or like them on Facebook.
