Copper taken from newly constructed building, warrant arrests & more fill Carneys Point Police log

Carneys Point Twp. – Another case of a large amount of copper piping being stolen from a building (but one newly reconstructed) in The Landing, warrant arrests, an arrest of individual with a syringe and more fill the most recent Carneys Point Twp. Police log for April 13th-15th, 2015.

On April 15, 2015 at 3:13 PM, during a warrant service, Christopher Claxton, 40 years of age from Carneys Point, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Claxton was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting partial bail

On April 13, 2015 at 10:16 AM, during an investigation, Lashonda Justice, 22 years of age from Salem, was arrested for being in possession of a hypodermic syringe. Justice was transported to headquarters, charged on a summons, processed and released pending court.

On April 13, 2015 at 9:40 AM, during a field interview, James Ransome, 57 years of age from Carneys Point, was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of the Carneys Point Municipal Court. Ransome was transported to headquarters, processed and lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility.

During Ransome’s arrest, Lashonda Justice, 22 years of age from Salem, was charged with disorderly conduct. Justice was issued a summons at the scene and released pending court.

On April 13, 2015 at 8:22 AM, officers were dispatched to The Landing for a burglary and theft complaint. Upon arrival, it was discovered that sometime over the weekend a burglar(s) entered a building being reconstructed and removed a large amount of copper pipes. This matter is currently under investigation.
