Carneys Point Police reported activity log for Jan. 30 to Feb. 2, 2015

Carneys Point – Assault arrest, outstanding warrants and identity theft top the latest Carneys Point police log. Read more below:

On February 2, 2015 at 11:32 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Shirlee McCormick, 22 years of age from Penns Grove, was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. McCormick was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a new court date.

On February 2, 2015 at 7:06 PM, the Carneys Point Police Department was contacted by an officer from the Salem Police Department regarding an assault that occurred in Carneys Point Township at the Budget Motor Lodge. The Salem Officer advised the Carneys Point Police Department that the victim was at the Salem Hospital for injuries sustained during the assault and the accused was in custody at the Salem Police Department. A Carneys Point Police Officer responded to the Salem Hospital to speak with the victim and to find out the extent of the injuries. After speaking with the victim, the officer responded to the Salem Police Department and took the accused, Shannika Davis, 31 years of age from Carneys Point, into custody. Davis was transported to headquarters, charged on a summons with simple assault, processed and released pending court.

On February 2, 2015 at 8:56 AM, officers were dispatched to the intersection of North Virginia Avenue and Penns Grove Auburn Road for a motor vehicle accident.

On February 1, 2015 at 2:35 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Cecily Hall, 26 years of age from Carneys Point, was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Hall was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a new court date.

On February 1, 2015 at 10:01 AM, officers were dispatched to a residence on North Broad Street for a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers discovered that an unknown person(s) removed both headlights from a vehicle parked in the victim’s driveway. There are no suspects at this time.

On January 31, 2015 at 3:37 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Coriseia Preston, 23 years of age from Swedesboro, was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Preston was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a new court date.

On January 31, 2015 at 12:05 PM, a Carneys Point resident responded to headquarters to report that his/her identity was being fraudulently used by an unknown person. The victim was entered into the F.B.I. Identity Theft Network. This matter is still under investigation.

On January 30, 2015 at 10:32 PM, while investigating a suspicious vehicle parked at Dunn’s Park, Jerae Waye, 21 years of age from Carneys Point, was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Waye was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a new court date.

On January 30, 2015 at 6:40 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Maritza Rivera, 29 years of age from Penns Grove, was found to have outstanding warrants for her arrest out of the Carneys Point Municipal Court, the Westville Municipal Court and the Greenwich Township Municipal Court. Rivera was transported to headquarters, processed and lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility.

On January 30, 2015 at 10:12 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Larry Reese, 37 years of age from Pens Grove, was found to have multiple warrants for his arrest out of the Penns Grove Municipal Court. Reese was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a new court date.
