Carneys Point Twp. Police crime log – Jan. 12th-14th

CARNEYS POINT TWP., – Warrant arrests, DUI’s and motor vehicle accidents top recent Carneys Point Police activity log. See the reported police activity for January 12th to January 14th, 2015 below:

On January 14, 2014 at 8:18 PM, during a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Street, Keith Walton, 47 years of age from Deepwater, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.  Walton was also found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of the Pennsville Municipal Court.  Walton was transported to headquarters, processed and lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility on the warrant from Pennsville Municipal Court.

On January 14, 2015 at 4:03 PM, James Ransome, 56 years of age from Carneys Point, responded to headquarters to be served with a summons for simple assault.  Ransome was served with his summons, processed and released pending court.

On January 14, 2015 at 3:42 PM, officers were dispatched to Harding Highway, in the area of Stumpy Lane, for a motor vehicle accident.

On January 14, 2015 at 12:19 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, James Dugan, 26 years of age from Carneys Point, was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of the Westampton Township Municipal Court.  Dugan was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a new court date.

On January 14, 2015 at 2:14 AM, officers were dispatched to a residence on North Broad Street for a criminal mischief complaint.  Upon arrival, officers discovered that an unknown subject broke multiple windows out at the residence.  Officers were advised of a possible suspect, but no one actually observed the subject break out the windows and the subject denied breaking the windows.  This matter is under investigation.

On January 13, 2015 at 9:19 PM, officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hawks Bridge Road and U.S. Route 40.

On January 12, 2015 at 9:15 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Tia Johnson, 28 years of age from Salem, was found to have a warrant for her arrest out of the Salem City Municipal Court.  Johnson was transported to headquarters, processed and lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility.
