Pennsville Police activity Dec 12 – 15, 2014

PENNSVILLE TWP. – On 12/15/14 at approximately 12:17 pm Police were dispatched to a residence on Clark Street in Deepwater for a Burglary and Theft.  Upon arrival it was discovered that an unknown accused entered the victims unlocked vehicle and removed several items valued at approximately $200.00.  Pending further investigation.

On 12/15/14 at approximately 2:35 pm a resident of Oberlin Road reported that someone and entered her unlocked vehicle and removed $400.00 in U.S. Currency.  Pending further investigation.

On 12/15/14 at approximately 9:20 pm Police were dispatched to a residence on Old Forge Road for a Burglary and Theft.  Upon police arriving it was ascertained that forced entry was used to enter the residence. Upon gaining access several items valued at approximately $543.00 were taken.  Pending further investigation.

On 12/15/14 at approximately 11:12 pm Joseph L. Eddings (M/21) of West Deptford was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Eddings was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on North Broadway.  Further investigation revealed that Eddings was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 12/14/14 Police received several complaints of two ATV’s riding at a high rate of speed in the area of Benson Avenue and North River Drive.  Officers located the operators and issued several traffic summonses and impounded the vehicles.  Pending court.

On 12/14/14 at approximately 11:52 a resident of Grace Avenue reported that someone entered on to his property and removed a battery from his golf cart.  The battery is valued at approximately $100.00.  Pending further investigation.

On 12/14/14 at approximately 5:50 pm Police were dispatched to Walmart for a Shoplifting Complaint.  Upon arrival it was ascertained that two subjects left the store with approximately $1,278.22 in unpaid merchandise.  Store security confronted the two accused at which time they elbowed the employee and fled the scene in a Brown Nissan Maxima.  The items were recovered at the scene.  Pending further investigation.

On 12/13/14 at approximately 11:15 am Louis M. Rogers (M/50) of Salem was arrested and charged with Shoplifting and Theft of a Shopping Cart.  Rogers had taken numerous cleaning products valued at $112.00 from the Dollar Tree then proceeded to walk away with the Shopping Cart.  Pending Court.

On 12/13/14 at approximately 1:35 pm a resident of Georgia Road telephoned Police to report a Theft.  Upon officers arrival, it was learned that interior parts of a Central Air Conditioning Unit had been removed from the exterior of the residence.  The unit is estimated to be valued at $1,500.00.  Pending further investigation.

On 12/12/14 at approximately 9:30 pm Maureen A. Salamanca (F/43) of Pennsville was arrested and charged with Shoplifting from the Pennsville Walmart.  Security observed Salamanca exit the store in possession of a computer which she did not purchase.  The computer was valued at $722.00.  Police were able to stop Salamanca on Hook Road at which time she was placed under arrest and the computer was retrieved and returned to Walmart.  Salamanca was processed and released pending court.

On 12/12/14 at approximately 10:20 pm Christine R. Stewart (F/41) of Pennsville was arrested and charged with Driving While Under the Influence.  Police were dispatched to the Wawa on North Broadway for a report of a female subject passed out.  Upon arrival it was learned that Stewart pulled into the parking lot and passed out behind the wheel.  An innocent  bystander turned off the car and removed the keys then proceeded to report the incident to the store manager.  Stewart was also charged with driving on a suspended license as well as driving while under the influence.  Stewart was processed and released pending court.
