Pennsville Mailman brings holiday spirit along with mail

PENNSVILLE, NJ – As the holidays approach ever so quickly, USPS employee Thielo Lanham has found a way to not only bring more conversation and entertainment to his day delivering mail but, more importantly, bring with him some holiday spirit! After recently being transferred to the Pennsville USPS Office, Lanham (formerly of Hammonton) has not been shy nor hesitant to brighten the days of others by dressing up as an elf for the upcoming holiday season.

Lanham is a not only a local employee but today he officially became a Salem County resident, as well, after just moving into Pennsville Twp. (on Dec. 19th, 2014). Though the Pennsville mailman is new to the area, he has shown that he is not afraid of what others may think of his outfits.

“I do it for the kids,” said Lanham, “The soul purpose [of him dressing up before each major holiday] is for the kids. I love to see them smile.”

Thielo Lanham has been dressing up for all different holidays during his daily grind for the past 12 years or so. We would like to give a warm welcome to Thielo Lanham as he becomes a new member of our community here in Salem County! Such acts like so, help to promote the overall positive feelings and emotions that come hand and hand with the holiday season and bring a smile to others’ faces who may need just that when out seeing him deliver the mail.
