Large amount of Cocaine Seized in Salem City Drug Raid

Early morning drug raid in Salem City nets cocaine seizure

SALEM CITY – On November 1, 2014 at approximately 6:20 am, a narcotics search warrant was executed at a residence on East Broadway in the area of Union Street in Salem City. The pre-dawn raid led to the discovery of a significant amount of cocaine being seized from the residence and the arrest of four subjects. As a result, Steven Logan, 44 of Salem was charged with possessing the cocaine which officials estimated to have a street value of $3,400.00.

Additionally, a quantity of marijuana and drug distribution paraphernalia was also located and seized from the residence. The Salem Police Department and the New Jersey State Police Troop A TEAMS and Canine Units assisted with the operation. Logan was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a quantity of greater than a ½ ounce and possession of drug distribution paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility in default of $100,000.00 bail.

Steven Logan, 3rd, 20 Olajauan Logan,19 and Shantain Kibler, 39 all of Salem were also present at the time of the operation. Steven Logan, 3rd and Olajauan Logan were both charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia and released pending court appearances. Kibler was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest from the Salem City Municipal Court. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance.
