Woodstown’s 4th of July Parade to be held tomorrow rain or shine

WOODSTOWN – This year’s annual Woodstown 4th of July Parade will be held tomorrow Friday July 4th, 2014 rain or shine at 10:00 AM sharp, according to the official Facebook Page for tomorrow 4th of July Festivities in Woodstown.

All traffic will be detoured around the parade it is presumed or will be held till it is over by police, so expect a delay during your travels through Woodstown, especially on U.S. Route 40.

The parade route begins near Woodstown’s Memorial Lake on the southern side of town near 228 S. Main Street and runs along Main St. to Marlton Rd. where the parade ends about 7/10’s of a mile down at the Marlton Park entrance.

The annual parade and community’s festivities draw in thousands of individuals from across the Delaware Valley but with Hurricane Arthur’s expected rainfall throughout South Jersey during the morning into the afternoon, this year’s attendance and festivities could not be as splendid as past years’ parades. However, the spirit and all the vendors and fun will still be there, so be sure to come down with the family and enjoy the holiday, RAIN OR SHINE!

There is no official word yet on the re-schedule or postponement in case of rain for the evening’s awesome fireworks display at Marlton Park, but we will keep you updated on the status of them as we are expected to have the announcement on whether they will or will not be on tomorrow afternoon! So, stay tuned for more info!
