Recent Crime Reports in Pennsville Twp.

Pennsville – Pennsville Police have released the following police reports of criminal activity within its community. See the list of alleged crime below:

On 6/19/14 at approximately 5:57 am Shaun P. Murphy (M/25) of Pennsville, was arrested and charged with Driving While Under the Influence.  Police received a complaint that a vehicle was stopped on South Broadway and the driver appeared to be passed out.  Upon officers arrival Murphy was suspected of being under the influence.  Murphy was processed and released pending court.  Murphy was arrested a second time on 6/27/14 after being stopped on South Broadway and charged with being Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Murphy was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.  Murphy was processed and released pending court.

On 7/2/14 at approximately 8:22 am Wilson J. Torres (M/34) of Pennsville, was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS (Heroin) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Police received a call that a male subject was walking near Heron Avenue and appeared to be disoriented.  Officers responded and located Torres.  Further investigation revealed he was in possession of CDS (Heroin) and Drug Paraphernalia.  Torres was processed and released pending court.

On 7/2/14 at approximately 12:53 pm Sanchez S. Boals (M/36) of Wilmington, was arrested and charged with Shoplifting and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Police received a telephone call from Walmart that a male subject was observed concealing merchandise then fled the store in a vehicle.  Police located the vehicle on South Broadway near William Penn Avenue.  Boals was discovered to be in possession of approximately $192.00 of merchandise that was not purchased.  Further investigation revealed that Boals had also taken two cameras valued at $411.00 on 6/30/14.  Boals was processed and released pending court.

On 7/2/14 at approximately 10:02 pm Ashley E. Warren (F/23) of Pennsville, was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS (Marijuana) following a motor vehicle stop on Churchtown Road.  Warren was processed and released pending court.

On 7/3/14 at approximately 5:53 am Ezra C. Evans III (M/29) of Pennsville, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Hypodermic Needle.  Evans was observed pushing a shopping cart that contained scrap metal.  He advised the officer he was planning to transport the scrap metal via the Transit bus to Camden at which time he would obtain money to pay on some of his fines from Camden Municipal Court.  Further investigation revealed that Evans was in possession of the syringe and there was an outstanding NCIC warrant for his arrest.  Evans was processed and subsequently remanded to the Salem County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.
