Salem Health and Wellness to hold Financial Workshop for Nonprofits

The Salem Health and Wellness Foundation is sponsoring a financial workshop, ‘Re-Balancing the Balance Sheet,’ on Wednesday, May 14th at PSEG’s Energy and Environment Resource Center located on Chestnut Street in Salem from 9:00am – 3:00pm.

Training will cover the following topics:

  1. General Overview of Capital Structure
  2. Familiarizing oneself with the composition of financials
  3. Determining and building operating reserves
  4. Fundraising for general operating funds.

Nancy Burd, President of The Burd Group from Philadelphia, will be conducting the workshop. “Workshops such as this will be a benefit to our local nonprofits. We are pleased to have Nancy on board to bring her expertise to our nonprofit community,” stated Brenda Goins, executive director of the foundation. This workshop is one of a series of three to be held throughout this year.

Cost for the workshop is $10.00, seating is limited. Reservation will be held with payment. Deadline to sign-up for the workshop is May 7th.
