Recent Carneys Point Police activity

On April 21, 2014 at 7:39 AM during a motor vehicle stop, Eric Bermudez was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of North Brunswick Municipal Court. Bermudez was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a new court date.

On April 21, 2014 at 9:22 AM, Officers were dispatched to Harold Avenue for windows being busted out of a vacant house. The caller stated they were not sure when the damage occurred. The owner of the bank was advised of the damage. On April 22, 2014 at 12:43 PM Officers were dispatched back to the location for the report of a theft. While the owner was securing the residence it was discovered that copper pipes, the hot water heater and an air conditioner unit was removed from the house. There are no suspects at this time.

On April 21, 2014 at 2:03 PM during a motor vehicle stop in the area of Bianca Avenue, Juan Garduno-Reza was arrested for possession of marijuana under fifty grams. The passenger of the vehicle, Gregory Thompson was arrested for possession of marijuana under fifty grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to headquarters. Thompson was discovered to be hiding additional marijuana in his groin area and charged with failure to deliver CDS to the nearest law enforcement official. Both subjects were processed and released on summonses.

On April 21, 2014 at 7:03 PM while investigating a suspicious vehicle in the area of Oakwood Avenue, Eduardo Vasquez-Perez was arrested for driving while suspended. Vasquez-Perez was transported to headquarters, processed and released on a summons.

On April 22, 2014 at 1:09 PM, Alice Johnson was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the Carneys Point Township Municipal Court. Johnson was processed and released with a new court date.

On April 22, 2014 at 10:24 PM during a motor vehicle stop, Jeffrey Marich was found to have an outstanding warrant out of the Mid-Salem Joint Municipal Court. Marich was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility in default.

On April 22, 2014 at 11:43 PM, Officers were conducting a property check at the Carneys Point Recreational Center and discovered a Bank Debit Card on the ground. The card was secured at Police Headquarters until the owner could be notified.

On April 21, 2014 at 7:07 PM, Officers were dispatched to the Pilot Truck Stop for a tractor trailer that backed into a parked vehicle.

On April 23, 2014 at 9:11 AM, Maureen Salamanca was found to have three outstanding warrants for her arrest out of Newark Municipal Court, Bloomfield Municipal Court and Pennsville Municipal Court. Salamanca was processed and released with new court dates.

On April 23, 2014 at 9:16 AM, Lori Pedrick was found to have two outstanding warrants for her arrest out of Brooklawn Municipal Court and Gloucester City Municipal Court. Pedrick was processed and released with new court dates.

On April 23, 2014 at 11:40 AM, Officers were dispatched to Oakwood Avenue for a motor vehicle accident.

On April 23, 2014 at 11:41 AM, a resident on Justice Drive dropped off a flashlight and jewelry (necklaces and bracelets) that was discovered in their front yard under leaves. The items were secured at Police Headquarters. No records could be found reporting any similar items stolen or lost.

On April 23, 2014 at 4:14 PM, Rachel Hogate was arrested for driving while suspended. Hogate was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the Mid-Salem Joint Court. Hogate was processed and released with a summons and a new court date.
