Oakwood Summer Theatre Announces Auditions

Carneys Point Twp. – Oakwood Summer Theatre, now entering it’s 35th season, will be holding auditions for it’s first upcoming production “The Runner Stumbles”.  The auditions will take place at Salem Community College from 7-9pm on April 14th-15th.
Oakwood Summer Theatre is Salem County’s longest running community theatre and is the only community theatre program in Salem County. In the past 34 years, 87,000 people have enjoyed the quality productions.
Oakwood Summer Theatre, a division of Oakwood Theatre Companies Inc, is Salem County’s longest running community theatre program. Oakwood Summer Theatre Company, Inc. was founded by Bill Donald in 1981, starting from a high school drama program called Ram Theatre at Salem High School. The summer productions provided students, former students and other interested adults with an outlet to hone their acting or theater production skills.
Tom Mason took over as managing director of Oakwood Summer Theatre in 1987. For most of the life of the company, productions were held at Salem High School. Since 1997, Oakwood Summer Theatre has been in residence at the Salem Community College.

All productions take place at the Salem Community College located at 460 Hollywood Avenue, Carneys Point Township, NJ 08069.
