There is still time to take advantage of 2013 tax deductions and what better way then a donation to Habitat for Humanity and the Habitat Restore.
The ReStore, located at 416 Pennsville-Auburn Road, Carneys Point will be open today from 8am-4pm for year end purchases (all tax deductible). A highlight is 60 vanities (pictured below) that wholesale/”big box” stores have listed for $795 and higher is a great bargain at, just, $350.
The Carpenter’s Club is another way you can donate and help Habitat. The funds are specifically set aside for home builds. There is currently one set in Carneys Point and Habitat is working on a 2nd for 2014.
Another great way to get a year end tax deduction is the Cars for Homes program. When you call, specify the donation is for the Salem County Habitat for Humanity. The required forms will be sent overnight to your specified address and the vehicle will be picked up at your location. The whole process is very easy and quick to complete.
Habitat has been fortunate to have had several homes donated to them in the past as well as land. They would, of course, be very appreciative of a lot donation for another house build in 2014.
Keep in mind that even if you don’t have the ability to make one of the larger purchases or donations you can still donate to help support the work that Habitat, or any of your favorite charities, does to help.
