GSSC To Host “Happy Birthday New Jersey” Program

The Genealogical Society of Salem County will host a program, “Happy Birthday, New Jersey: Celebrating 350 Years of History,” presented by Jim Schulte on Tuesday, September 10th at 7pm at the Friends Village Auditorium in Woodstown. The public is invited to attend this admission-free event.

After the Dutch surrendered to the English in 1664, the English renamed their new territory, creating the colony of New Jersey. As we look forward to celebrating New Jersey’s 350th birthday in 2014, we plan to look backward at our rich heritage throughout three-and-a-half centuries. Come join us for this interactive program as we explore the land of our ancestors!
