If you are looking for authentic, Italian, woodfire pizza, you must try the pizza made by “Ravello Woodfire Specialities”. “Ravello” is a new company that just started. They are a gourmet pizza food truck business, and they are quickly becoming a favorite of the area. Owned by Dean Paolizzi, Ron Sorantino, and Gino Mistichelli, “Ravello” offers premium pizza on the road. They came up with the idea through conversation, observing other food trucks, and noticed that there was a lack of anything like this around South Jersey. They wanted to bring authentic, gourmet Italian pizza to the area and have succeeded in that one hundred percent. At their neighborhood tasting party this past Saturday, the owners of “Ravello Woodfire Specialties” put on a fantastic event. Their menu items blew me away. Some of the items included a Margherita pizza with tomato, basil and fresh mozzarella, a Sorrento pizza with imported peperoni, tomato, and fresh mozzarella, a Tartufo pizza with black truffle, egg, truffle oil, and fontina cheese, a Deano pizza with fresh prosciutto, fresh arugula, and fresh mozzarella, and for dessert there was a smores pizza! All of their ingredients are imported from Italy, and you can definitely taste the authenticity.“Ravello” will be serving their fresh, gourmet pizza at the Salem County Fair all week long. The fair runs from Tuesday August 6th through Friday August 9th. They will also be at the Heritage Winery, located at 480 Mullica Hill Road, Harrison Township, Thursday nights from 6pm-9pm starting August 15th.They will also be at the Auburn Road Winery, located at 117 Sharptown Auburn Road, Pilesgrove, Saturday August 10th and Sunday August 11th from 12pm until 9pm, and then every Saturday night from 4pm until 9pm after that.
