Salem City’s 39th Annual Market Street Day will be held today, Saturday, August 24th from 10:00am until 4:00pm. Every year the streets are packed with local community members and Salem City residents to enjoy the food, fun and communal spirit that Market Street Day brings to the City of Salem. This year, the annual celebration will include many new and different vendors, events, exhibits and more! Be sure to come on out to Salem City tomorrow and enjoy Market Street Day! Included at tomorrow’s Market Street Day are the below historical sites to see, activities, and live music:
The Salem City Fire Museum and Union Fire Company will be having both new and old fire apparatuses and other fire fighting tools both new and old. The doors to the museum will be open free for anyone to stop in and check out the amazing history of Salem City’s Fire Departments and will be featuring an antique fire apparatus show.
The The Salem County Historical Society will be open from 10am-4pm for free tours.
There will also be a gift certificate raffle drawing and the always popular Antique Automobile Exhibition show.
Music scheduled at the MLK Park will include the Salem American Band, Howard Valentine and the Prophets of Love and Band of Brothers among others.
